Howdenshire Music Project is a charitable voluntary community organisation which was set up in 2019 to make live classical music more accessible for everyone who lives in Howden and the surrounding region of East Yorkshire.

The project works in close partnership with Howden Minster, which is the wonderful venue for the project's free monthly Thursday lunchtime concert series at Howden Minster - all welcome!

The Howdenshire Music Project is also committed to supporting the next generation of musicians. The project is working in partnership with local schools and the East Riding Music Hub to provide access to musical opportunities for young people in the area. The project is also keen to support and provide a platform for emerging and established professional musicians.

In summer 2020 the Howdenshire Music Project launched an appeal to raise funds for a new grand piano to ensure the future of the lunchtime concert series and become a community resource. The response was overwhelming and, by December 2020, the funds had been raised. You can read more about the project's new piano here.
